Course Description

This course is intended to introduce the basics of the calculus of functions of several variables. Topics include:

  • Euclidean space and its geometry
  • Calculus on curves
  • Limits and differentiability, including partial derivatives and the chain rule
  • Derivative tests and Lagrange multipliers
  • Taylor polynomials
  • The implicit function theorem
