MATH2010E - Advanced Calculus I - 2022/23
Announcement
- All homework, midterm, and final will be graded online using the Gradescope system. The link of the Gradescope system can be found in the Blackboard system.
- Midterm and Final will be conducted face-to-face. (See the date and time in the item "Assessment Scheme" below.) The following arrangement at the end of the midterm and final will be implemented: 1. Stop writing when "pen-down" is announced by the instructor. 2. Use your "smartphone" to capture images of all the (non-empty) pages of your answers when instructed by the instructor. 3. Then convert the images of your answers into a pdf file. 4. Submit the pdf file of your answers into the "midterm/final" in the Gradescope system. (You will have around 15 minutes for steps 3-5.) 5. Submit your answer book to the instructor.

- Please be reminded that the final exam is scheduled on next Friday Jun 30, 2023, 9:30-11:00am in room LSB LT2. The final exam has the same format as midterm and will cover all material since the beginning to the end of the term but emphazise on those material after midterm. Course Description
Functions of several variables, partial differentiation, differential and its geometric meaning, chain rule, maxima and minima, Lagrange multiplier, mean value theorem, Taylor series, and implicit function theorem.
