- 13 Nov.: There will be make-up classes on Saturday 22 Nov. 2014, at 10:30am - 1:15pm, in 太古堂 (馮景禧樓) SW2.
- 27 Nov.: There will be class today (Thursday 27 Nov.), as usual.
- 28 Nov.: In the following, a notation is explained. Suppose w is a function of two variables x and y. Then w_x means the partial derivative of w with respect to x; w_{xy} means the partial derivative of w_x with respect to y. Thus, if w = x (y^2), then w_x = y^2, and w_{xy} = (w_x)_y = (y^2)_y = 2y.
