Course Description
This course will cover the theory and applications of multiple integrals and vector analysis. In the part of multiple integrals, this course will concentrate mainly on 2 and 3 dimensions, including surface areas, volumes and change of variable formula. Multiple integrals in some standard coordinates, such as polar coordinates in 2 dimensions and cylindrical and spherical coordinates in 3 dimensions, will be included. In the part of vector analysis, the course will cover the basic concepts of Curl, Divergence, line and surface integrals of vector fields and the basic Divergence and Stokes' Theorems. If time allows, the concept of differential forms will also be introduced as convenient notation for integral theorems in vector analysis.
