Abstract:
The mixed torus method, introduced by Christian and Menke, serves as an effective tool for investigating the symplectic fillings of contact 3-manifolds. In this talk, I will explain this method and demonstrate its applications in understanding the symplectic fillings of contact lens spaces, Seifert fibered spaces and some Legendrian surgeries. This is joint work with Austin Christian.
