Course Description

Ordinary differential equations arise from quantitative description of natural and social phenomena. Topics are: method of explicit solution, first order linear and nonlinear equations, second and higher order equations, first order systems, stability of solutions to nonlinear equations, numerical methods, applications to mechanics, electrical networks and population of species.
