GPU and HPC servers

We have the following GPU & HPC Linux servers for our graduate students and staff to use in their research.
Please send an email to support@math.cuhk.edu.hk to request for a computer account to use these servers.

GPU server (hostname: ai.math.cuhk.edu.hk)

hardware:

  • Supermicro GPU Server (SYS-4029GP-TRT)
  • CPU: Dual Intel Xeon Gold 6238R 38.5M Cache, 2.20 GHz (28C56T)
  • RAM: 64GB DDR4 2666 ECC LRDIMM x l6 (Total: 1024GB)
  • GPU: 8 x NVIDIA Quadro A6000 48GB

software:

  • Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS, MATLAB, Python, Tensorflow

main purpose:

  • for running machine learning Python programs, MATLAB programs

GPU server (hostname: cai.math.cuhk.edu.hk)

hardware:

  • Supermicro GPU Server (SYS-4029GP-TRT)
  • CPU: Dual Intel Xeon Gold 6230 27.5M Cache, 2.10 GHz (20C/40T)
  • RAM: 64GB DDR4 2666 ECC LRDIMM x l6 (Total: 1024GB)>/li>
  • GPU: 8 x NVIDIA Quadro RTX 8000 48GB

software:

  • Ubuntu 18.04.5 LTS, MATLAB, Python, Tensorflow

  • Supermicro GPU Server (SYS-7049GP-TRT)
  • CPU: Dual Intel Xeon Gold 5115 13.75M Cache, 2.40 GHz
  • RAM: 32GB DDR4 2666 ECC RDIMM x 8 (Total: 256GB)
  • GPU: 4 x NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080Ti 11GB

software:

  • Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS, MATLAB, Python, Tensorflow

main purpose:

  • for running machine learning Python programs, MATLAB programs

Maths HPC cluster (login node: wave.math.cuhk.edu.hk)

hardware:

  • 5 x compute nodes with dual 8-Core Intel Xeon E5-2630v3, 2.4GHz/20MB CPU and 256GB RAM memory
  • 5 x compute nodes with dual 8-Core Intel Xeon E5-2630v3, 2.4GHz/20MB CPU and 64GB RAM memory
  • 2 x compute nodes with quad 8-Core Intel Xeon E7-4820v2, 2.20 GHz CPU and 128GB RAM memory

software:

  • RHEL 7, SGE Scheduler, MATLAB, gcc

main purpose:

  • for running parallel MATLAB programs

ITSC HPC cluster (login node: chpc-login01.itsc.cuhk.edu.hk)

hardware:

  • 2 x compute nodes with dual Intel Xeon Gold 6130 2.10GHz CPU and 96GB RAM memory

software:

  • CentOS 7, Slurm work manager, MATLAB, Python

main purpose:

  • for running parallel MATLAB programs
