CUHK-ETH Exchange Travel Scholarship

Professor Ralf Hiptmair of Eidgenössiche Technische Hochschule Zürich (ETH Zürich) made a donation to the Department for the establishment of this scholarship. The capital and the interest/income generated from the fund have been used to award this scholarship since 2008-09. The following regulations govern this scholarship:

• The individual scholarship is meant to cover the economy-class airfare for a return flight from Hong Kong to Zürich. The amount of each scholarship is not more than HK$10,000, payable as reimbursement upon presentation of official receipt.
• The scholarship is awarded to postgraduate students in Mathematics who spend at least one term at ETH Zürich in the framework of the exchange agreement between CUHK and ETH Zürich.
• The travel scholarship application must be endorsed by at least two professors, one from the Department of Mathematics of CUHK and another from ETH Zürich.
