# MATH3060 - Mathematical Analysis III - 2017/18

- There is tutorial on Sept 8 (Fri).
- Chapter 0 and section 1.5, Chapter 1, have been added. Both are for optional reading.
- Hand in #1, 4bd, 6 in Ex 1 by Sept 15.
- Hand in #2, 3, 6, 7, 8 in Ex 2 by Sept 22.
- No need to hand in problems in Ex 3.
- Solution 2 has been revised by adding the solution to #3.
- Hand in #1, 2, 4, and 8 in Ex 4 by Oct 6.
- Hand in #3, 4, 5, and 6 in Ex 5 by Oct 13.
- Midterm will be held on Oct 25 (W34). Coverage will be announced in due course.
- Midterm covers up to 3.1 and Ex 1--Ex 6.
- No need to hand in problems in Ex 6.
- Hand in # 2, 4, 8 and 9 in Ex 7 by Nov 3.
- Materials in Inverse Function Theorem are based on what I went over in class.
- I will keep the midterm papers. Come to my office to take a look if you want to.
- Midterm average is 76 and SD 17. Those above 50 are save.
- Revised Inverse Function Theorem by adding Implicit Function Theorem.
- Hand in #1, 4, 5, 8 in Ex 8 by Nov 10.
- Hand in #4, 5, 7, 8 in Ex 9 by Nov 17.
- Hand in #3, 6, 8, 10 in Ex 10 Nov 24.
- I have revised Chapter 4 up to page 5.
- Please let me know if there are any question concerning the notes Maximal Solutions.
- Chapter 4 has been revised. Note the difference between a residual set and a set of second category.
- Hand in #1, 2, 5 and 7 in Ex 11 by Dec 1. This is our last exercise.
