Lecture 3

Chaos

The lecture is intended to be an elementary introduction to the concept of "Chaos" in non-linear dynamics. The term "Chaos", for most people, is usually connected to behaviours which have no rules behind. However we will show that even in very simple non-linear dynamical systems governed by simple equations, which require only high school mathematics to understand, chaotic behaviour can be encountered. In the lecture, there will be numerous examples to demonstrate the phenomena of chaotic behaviour in simple non-linear dynamical system.
