Nationals of about 170 countries and territories may visit Hong Kong without a visa, and can stay for periods varying from 7 days to 180 days depending on nationality. For reference, visa-exempt stays for up to 90 days are allowed for citizens of Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Norway, South Korea, Switzerland, the United States and all countries of the European Union (except for the United Kingdom, whose citizens are allowed to stay visa-free for up to 180 days).
