From the China border by train
Both The Chinese University and the Conference Hotel are along the train
line of Kowloon-Canton Railway (KCR). It is very easy to get to both sites
by train. You may refer to the network map
(English or
Chinese version)
of the Kowloon-Canton Railway. The Conference
Hotel is almost at the south tip of the blue line in the map. The
China border is at the north while The Chinese University is at the
middle.
To the Conference Hotel
The Royal Plaza Hotel is located in Mong Kok area. It is essentially
situation above the KCR Mong Kok Station.

The fare is HK$33 (US$4).

After crossing the China-Hong Kong border, you are
at Lo Wu KCR Station (north of the blue line).

Take the KCR train to "Mong Kok Station". The trip takes 45 minutes.
Train runs every 5 to 10 minutes from 05:30 to 00:25.

The Conference Hotel is connected to the train station through a big mall
called Grand Century Plaza.

To the Conference Venue
The Conference Venue is at Lady Shaw Building or Academic Building No. 1
of The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Both buildings are at the
central campus located at mid-level of the campus hill.

After crossing the China-Hong Kong border, you are
at KCR Lo Wu Station (north of the blue line).

Take the KCR train to "University Station". The trip takes 20 minutes.
Train runs every 5 to 10 minutes from 05:30 to 00:25.

If you exit to the right hand side (west) of the station, you are
already within the university campus. The other side is the bus
terminus for the public.

Follow the yellow line to the campus bus station.
Take the campus bus uphill and get off at Sir Run Run Shaw Hall
(the second stop).
Lady Shaw Building is only at 2-minute walk across the board walk and
Academic Building No. 1 is 4-minute further down slope.
To the Yali Guest House
Follow the same direction as to the Conference Venue above and reach the
university campus. Take the campus bus uphill. You may get off at the
second stop and walk backward for 10 minutes, or if you have the help of
a local person, you may get off at the first stop and take a 5-minute
short cut.
