Going out from the University
Usually, it is not easy to catch a taxi within the university campus.
You may take campus transportation down the campus hill
and then the train.
By Campus Bus or Van to the Train Station

-
You may take a bus or van to the train station. It takes about 15 minutes
(including waiting).
-
There is a stop for both the downhill campus bus and van at the
University Road between the University Administration Building and
Benjamin Franklin Centre (please refer to the
campus map).
-
The campus van also has a stop at the Engineering Building next
to the Academic Building No. 1.
-
On a cool day, it is not a bad idea to walk downhill. It takes about
20 minutes.
By Catching a Taxi
Occasionally, you may see a taxi inside the campus and you can easily find
one at the public bus terminus at the train station (the west side of
the railway). Whether you may take a red
or a green depends on your destination. The
more expensive red taxi goes everywhere. The
green ones may go to the airport but they
cannot go to the Conference Hotel.
By Calling a Taxi
One may call a taxi with an additional charge of HK$5. You need a local
person to help you on this. The guest house provides such a service.
