Feature-based image retrieval has got more and more attention in multimedia database management and data transmission. In this paper, we present a texture-based approach for feature extraction, combined with reducing the dimension. Retrieval results using real color image database called Ebase3 are carried out. The result shows that retrieval results fits more closely with human perception.
