2020 YAU INTERNATIONAL MATHCAMP

Admission Requirements

The Mathcamp aims at recruiting about 70 mathematics highly talented students. Applicants must

1. show strong talent at mathematics and deep understanding of high school mathematics, and priority will be given to those who have already some knowledge of basic calculus;

2. be recommended officially by their schools, and priority will be given to those whose academic performance reach top 1% of the year in their schools;

3. be highly enthusiastic about mathematics and interested in academic research in mathematics and science in the future;

4. have reached the English proficiency to understand full English teaching and learning.

Please fill in and submit the application materials online according to the following requirements. Those who fail to complete and submit the application materials will not be considered.

1. Applicants must submit an official academic transcript with school stamp clearly shown;

2. Applicants must submit two recommendation letters (including one from their school);

3. Applicants must submit a personal statement limited to 1000 words. The personal statement
   is an important reference for admission and must be carefully written, based on true facts;

4. Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit other supporting documents, such as certificates,
   awards, research papers, which can help the admission committee better understand
   the mathematics ability and enthusiasm of the applicants.

Successful applicants will be informed by email on or before 10 July, 2020 of the detailed arrangements of the Mathcamp.

Tuition Fee

No tuition fee is charged for the Mathcamp.
