Welcome

This is Yong Yu's homepage. I am an associate professor in the Department of Mathematics at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. My research interests are focused on liquid crystal theory, fluid dynamics, complex fluids, Poisson-Nernst-Planck equation in Ion channel, Keller-Segel equation in chemotaxis and various geometric flows. Particularly, I am concerned about specific properties of solutions which include but not limited to 1. singularity structures and blow-up profile; 2. optimal shape problems; 3. bifurcation theory and phase transition; 4. stability or instability phenomena arising in dynamical systems.

        Current activities

I am currently organizing the Analysis and PDE seminar, joint with Prof. Hantaek Bae from UNIST, Korea and Prof. Tak Kwong Wong from HKU, Hong Kong.
