MATH4400 Project

Course Description

A project in pure or applied mathematics, either in research or in reviewing the literature of an advanced topic. Each section may be taken by an individual student or a team of two students.

Prerequisite(s)

Permission of the instructor and satisfaction of at least one of the following conditions:
  1. with Major GPA in the preceding academic term of at least 3.3;
  2. with cumulative Major GPA of at least 3.3; and
  3. any special case explicitly endorsed by the Board of the Department.

Application Procedures

If you wish to take a project course (MATH4400) in the coming year, please check your eligibility (above) and find a teacher who consents to provide guidance. Then fill in the application form below.

Applications will be closed on 30th June, 2017.
Late applications will NOT be entertained.

Please note that MATH4400 and MATH4900 (Seminar) are MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE.
You are allowed to take no more than five MATH courses in each semester.

The transcript must be up-to-date as of June 2017 (must incl. 2016/17 2nd term results).
