Computer Lab  -  Rules and Regulations

ALL students must observe the following regulations and help to make the computer lab a safe and comfortable environment for everyone to use. Any violation of these rules may lead to suspension of the student’s computer account from 2 weeks up to one semester (subject to the decision of the computing committee) and serious offence will be taken to university for any further disciplinary action. Any teacher & staff member may remind students of these regulations and record their names & student IDs in case of such violation.

 

·     Eating & drinking is NOT allowed in the computer lab.

電腦室範圍內，嚴禁飲食。

·     Please DO NOT put any water bottle/pop can on the computer tables.

請不要把水壺、水樽、汽水罐及任何紙包飲料放在電腦檯上。

 

·     Please work quietly. Yelling, shouting, group discussions and social gatherings are NOT allowed in the computer lab.

請不要在電腦室內喧嘩、呼叫、小組討論及進行任何工餘課外的群組活動，以保持電腦室內的寧靜學習環境。

 

·     Please keep your voice low when talking to others so as not to disturb users in the lab.

·     Internet online games are strictly PROHIBITED in the computer lab.

·     Please keep the lab CLEAN & TIDY. Do not leave any garbage behind in the lab and please clean up your working area when leaving.

·     All the programs in the lab are licensed software. Copyright infringement is against university policy & copyright law. You are responsible for copyright violation if caught using pirated software.

·     Please take care of your belongings. The Department has the right to remove any unattended personal belongings that are found/left overnight in the laboratory and we will not be responsible for any loss or damage to any personal belongings in the laboratory.

·     Please put your umbrella in the rack at the entrance BEFORE entering the lab.

·      DO NOT move/relocate the furniture/computing facilities in the lab. Anyone who damages furniture/lab facilities will be held responsible for replacement or repair.
